Do you have a favorite airport? More than half a million Condé Nast Traveler readers piped up about theirs, and the 2023 Readers Choice Awards include their top 10 international airports worldwide.
As employee wellbeing becomes an integral part of employee mobility, these top-notch airports offer not only smooth travel experiences but also amenities that allow passengers to rest and recharge along the way.
Spas, nap pods, access to nature, fitness facilities, VIP lounges, children’s entertainment areas, and robotic assistants reduce the stress of travel. These amenities are in addition to simple things like clean and comfortable terminals as well as excellent shopping and dining options.
Flyers are also increasingly aware of air travel’s enormous impact on the environment. Many airports have sustainability goals. Automation, alternative energy sources, and a commitment to innovation help the best airports operate at high levels of efficiency.
More than 550 airports worldwide have earned Airport Carbon Accreditation through a certification program launched by ACI Europe and adopted around the globe. Seven levels of accreditation range from Mapping (Level 1) to Net Zero (Level 5).
